Javier Muñoz has an extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Javier started their career as a Design Trainee at Dsign in 1997 and then worked as a Graphic Designer at I.Q.L. Biomet and Aba estudio. Later, they served as an Oil Paint Teacher at Ayuntamiento de Valencia before taking on the role of Art Director at Nao comunicación. Javier also worked as an Art Director at Écran comunicación interactiva before joining Estratégica lab as a Creative Director, where they were involved in developing web projects.
In 2011, Javier founded their own company called Nonoray, and served as the Founder until 2014. Javier then moved on to Rovio Entertainment Ltd., where they held the position of Visual Designer and Art Director. At Rovio, they collaborated on marketing and concept strategy for the Angry Birds IP and was responsible for planning and producing visual campaigns.
Currently, Javier is working at QuickSpin as a Lead Artist. In this role, they are responsible for creating the art direction of games, producing concepts and assets, and providing coaching and onboarding to other artists. Javier works in an inclusive and agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship four games per year.
Javier Muñoz attended the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 1992 to 1997, where they completed their undergraduate studies in fine arts. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from the Bachelor in Luis vives, though the specific dates and field of study are not provided.
