Tanner Kirk is a Senior Materials Design Engineer at QuesTek Innovations LLC, a position held since July 2021, where innovative materials are developed utilizing machine learning, CALPHAD modeling, and design optimization. Prior experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University, focusing on computational materials design, alloy design applications, and a novel methodology for compositionally graded alloys. Tanner has also completed internships at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, contributing to advancements in functionally graded materials and fracture mechanics of shape memory alloys. Tanner holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, where a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering was also obtained.
