Israel Garcia is a highly accomplished student with a strong focus on finance, energy, and the geosciences. Currently serving as a Student Intern at Atlas Scholars since June 2022 and as a QuestBridge Prep Scholar since April 2023, Israel stands out as one of a select few among numerous applicants in both programs. Participation in Carnegie Vanguard High School’s community service project, Students to the Rescue, showcases a commitment to tutoring middle school students in math and science. Previous experience includes involvement in GeoFORCE Texas, where rigorous academic training in geosciences was emphasized, and research on carbon capture with the Bureau of Economic Geology. A notable participant in NASA programs, Israel has been recognized as a Moonshot Scholar and a High School Aerospace Scholar, highlighting engagement with cutting-edge space exploration initiatives.
