Trenton Jerde is a distinguished professional in the fields of neuroscience and artificial intelligence, currently serving as Senior Editor for Nature Machine Intelligence since March 2018, where the journal was launched under their leadership. Prior to this role, Trenton held academic positions at Columbia University as an Associate Research Scientist and Lecturer, and at New York University as a Visiting Research Professor, teaching courses on cognition and contributing to scientific literature. Trenton's experience also includes a role as a Scientific Consultant for Medtronic, where Trenton managed research partnerships focused on brain activation. With a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Minnesota and an extensive background in machine learning and cognitive sciences, Trenton has a solid foundation in both research and education, complemented by a certification from the NYC Data Science Academy.
