Nick Whelan is an accomplished Production Editor with extensive experience in the publishing industry. Currently serving as a Production Editor at Nature Portfolio since September 2022, Nick previously held similar roles at Bioscientifica and the British Editorial Society of Bone & Joint Surgery. Nick's career began at Macmillan as a Marketing Co-ordinator, followed by a position at Emap Healthcare, before progressing to Senior Production Controller and later Senior Production Editor at Emap. Nick's long tenure at Springer Nature included roles as Managing Production Editor and Senior Production Editor from August 2005 to December 2020. Academically, Nick holds a 2:2 (Hons) degree in Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London.
