Cheryl Xu currently serves as Editor in Chief at Nature Portfolio, an organization recognized for publishing high-quality open access research in the scientific community since September 2023. In addition, Cheryl Xu has been a Professor at North Carolina State University since August 2018, focusing on the manufacturing of multifunctional ceramic materials and their properties for high-temperature applications. Previous academic positions include Associate Professor at Florida State University from January 2014 to July 2018 and Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida from August 2007 to December 2013. Cheryl Xu earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University between 2001 and 2006.
