Pádraig O'Leary, PhD has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2006, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Software Engineering from the Lero Centre. In 2010, they were a Post-Doctorate Researcher in Software Engineering at UFBA - Federal University of Bahia. From 2011 to 2013, they held the roles of Lecturer in School of Computing at Dublin City University and Research Fellow (Data Lead) in Connected Health at University College Dublin. From 2014 to 2016, they were Assistant Professor in Software Engineering at the University of Adelaide. In 2016, they became the CEO of Emotion Reader, which was later acquired by Kairos. From 2018 to 2020, they were Advisory Board Member at Portable Medical Technology and Head of Data at Banked, where they were the first employee and was responsible for translating the founder's vision into a technology roadmap.
Pádraig O'Leary received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Software Engineering from the University of Limerick in 2010. Pádraig then completed a Graduate Diploma in New Business Development from the Technological University Dublin in 2012. Pádraig received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems from the University of Limerick in 2005. Prior to that, they attended St. Brendans College, Killarney from 1996 to 2001.
