Rob Champion currently serves as the Qld Government Chief Information Security Officer, a position held since November 2020, while also being the owner of Champion Solutions, providing specialist ICT strategic and tactical advice since June 1998. Previously, Rob held multiple roles at the Queensland Government Chief Information Office from August 2012 to November 2020, including a/Qld Government Chief Information Security Officer, Chief Information Technology Officer, and Executive Director of the Cyber Security Unit, where leadership was provided for the whole-of-government information security strategy and policy implementation. Prior experience includes a Principal Architecture Consultant role at CITEC and various positions in technology and systems management in organizations such as GlaxoWellcome Pharmaceuticals and Harvey Nichols Ltd. Rob holds a B App Sc in Computing from QUT and completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2022.
