Kate Talbot is an experienced media and communications professional with a background in both governmental and community-focused roles. Currently serving as Principal Media Advisor to the Minister for State Development, Infrastructure, Industrial Relations for the Queensland Government since May 2021, previous roles include Senior Media Advisor for several ministers and Senior Communications Officer at Rockhampton Regional Council. Kate's career also includes work as a Press Officer at the Greater London Authority and Parliamentary Assistant to Shadow Cabinet Minister Luciana Berger MP. Additionally, Kate has held leadership roles, such as Executive Committee member of the Fabian Women's Network and Community Organiser for Movement for Change. Educational qualifications include a BA Hons in History from the University of Cambridge and a specialization in Leadership, Organising, and Change from Harvard University.
