Daniel Thomas is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Cyber Strategist in the Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit since January 2024. Previously, Daniel held the position of Enterprise Security Architect at Brisbane City Council from March 2010 to January 2024. Earlier roles include Information Risk Manager and Solution Architect at CSC from February 2008 to March 2010, and various positions at Virgin Blue Airlines from December 2000 to October 2007, including IT Security Manager and IT Projects Technical Lead. Daniel's educational qualifications include a Graduate Certificate in Information Security and Intelligence from Edith Cowan University, a CISSP certification from (ISC)2, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Software from Griffith University.
