Thomas Dullien is a distinguished software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry. Notable positions include serving as a Distinguished Software Engineer at Elastic from November 2021 to February 2024, Co-Founder and CEO of optimyze from December 2018 to November 2021, and Staff Engineer at Google from November 2016 to December 2018, where involvement in Project Zero occurred after a sabbatical. Prior to this, Thomas took a year off for travel and personal pursuits, and worked as a Staff Engineer at Google from March 2011 to August 2015 following the acquisition of zynamics GmbH, where Thomas served as CEO and Head of Research from 2004 to 2011. Thomas holds an unfinished PhD in Mathematics from Ruhr University Bochum and has a Diplom in Mathematics from the same institution, along with a Vordiplom from WWU Münster.
