J.D. Santen is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as Senior Engineering Manager for Platform and Resiliency at Quantum Health since March 2023, overseeing a team of Cloud and Software Engineers. J.D. also organizes devopsdays Columbus, a technical conference focused on software development and IT operations, since January 2018. Prior roles include DevOps Release Engineering Manager at Upstart, where leadership spanned a Cloud Engineering organization, and significant technical positions at Verizon and MCI, focusing on network systems and performance measurement. J.D. holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University.
