Mario Schmidt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data science and analytics. Currently serving as a Quant Analyst at QuantConnect since August 2020, Mario also holds dual roles as a Data Science & Machine Learning Professor at the Ministerior de Educacion CABA and a Data Science Advisor for the Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires since August 2014. In academia, Mario coordinates the Data Science & Machine Learning course, imparting vital knowledge in cutting-edge technologies to students. As an advisor, Mario aids government sectors in data-driven decision-making through the development of machine learning and data mining projects. Furthermore, Mario is a Senior Data Scientist with a freelance background since February 2009, having developed the Wall Street Predictor, an application achieving 95% accuracy in forecasting the NYSE's S&P index. Mario's educational background includes a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Buenos Aires.
