Mark Hansen

Director at Qscan

Dr Mark Hansen (MBBS, FRANZCR, Qualified NIOSH B Reader) has been a Radiologist and Partner in Qscan Radiology Clinics since August 2006. He has contributed to the growth of Qscan and was instrumental in design and construction of our Mater Private Clinic Practice and Redcliffe Practice.

Mark completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1997, followed by internship and residency at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Mark completed his specialist training in Radiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in 2005 and subsequently went on to complete multiple Fellowships in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT) at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane and the University of Toronto, Peter Munk Cardiac Centre in Canada.

In 2005 the Queensland branch of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists awarded Mark the Uhr Clarke bursary for achieving the highest results in the state for the college exams. Mark was also awarded the Travelling Fellowship prize from the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) to attend the ISMRM workshop on Real Time MRI in Santa Monica 2006.

Mark has a keen research interest in Cardiac CT and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and has had numerous papers accepted in several major journals to date. In addition he has presented numerous lectures in the area of Cardiac Imaging both locally and internationally.
