Sr. Software Engineering Manager at QOMPLX

Marian Trnkus has over 25 years of experience in software engineering and management. Marian began their career in 1993 as a Consultant for Ericsson. Marian then moved to Alcatel-Lucent (ANS) in 1994 as a Consultant, Software, where they defined the architecture of the administrative unit of a cross-connect switch and led a three-person team in implementing connection/fault/equipment/performance subsystems. In 1998, they were hired as the first Senior Software Developer at Monterey Networks, later bought by Cisco Systems, where they defined the software architecture for the administrative unit and lead a team in implementing cross-connect and performance subsystems. In 2000, they co-founded Baylight Networks, which was later acquired by Corvis Corporations, and managed an international, multi-site software team of 120 engineers building photonic and TDM switch, WDM systems, network management, network planning, and control plane. In 2007, they joined Xperinet Inc. as Manager/Architect, Software, where they focused on building a multi-room media streaming system. In 2009, they took on the role of Senior Manager/Principal Engineer, Software at Ciena, where they focused on innovation in the control plane and network planning domain and managed a team of 14 engineers building a multi-layer planning system. In 2018, they joined RelevantIP as a Consultant, Sr. Software Architect/Developer. In 2019, they moved to Deloitte Consulting as a Product Master/Manager. Most recently, in 2020, they joined QOMPLX as a Sr. Software Engineering Manager, managing software development teams building up QOMPLX product portfolio, with a focus on OAUTH security for cloud based products, custom database products, custom Jupyter notebook product, and user log anomaly detection.

Marian Trnkus attended the Slovak University of Technology, where they earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Telecommunications Engineering.
