David Morrell has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Account Representative and Designer at H Galperin Associates in 1983. David then served as a Captain in the United States Air Force from 1984 to 1992. Following their military service, they became a Creative Director and Partner at Easton Design and Advertising from September 1992 to May 1994. Simultaneously, they also worked as an Independent Graphic Artist and Illustrator for their own company, Morrell Design and Illustration, starting in August 1992. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Creative Designer at Qlarant since February 2018. Throughout their career, David Morrell has gained extensive experience in design, illustration, marketing, and communications.

David Morrell pursued higher education throughout their career. In 1978, they enrolled at Mount St. Mary's University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1982. David later pursued a Master's degree in Management at Wilmington University, which they completed in 2000.
