Margaret Mary (Peggy) Smyth is a seasoned finance professional and independent director with extensive experience in infrastructure, telecommunications, and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Partner and Senior Advisor at QIC since July 2021, Peggy provides strategic guidance to North American investments focused on sustainable assets. Peggy holds independent director roles at several organizations, including Etsy, Frontier Communications, Remitly, and Lilium, where responsibilities encompass audit committee leadership and sustainability initiatives. Previously, Peggy excelled as Chief Financial Officer of National Grid US, contributing to significant growth and a strategic pivot towards cleaner energy solutions. An alumna of NYU Stern School of Business and Fordham University, Peggy has also completed a masterclass in Artificial Intelligence at New York University and holds an honorary Doctor of Commercial Science degree from St. Thomas Aquinas College.
