Diane Balke

Manager - Industry Engagement & Events at QIC

Diane Balke has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Diane is currently working at QIC as the Manager of Stakeholder Relations & Communications, a position they started in June 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Community Relations Manager for the QIC Grand Central Shopping Centre redevelopment from June 2015 to June 2020. Additionally, they worked as the Chief of Staff at the Office of the Minister for Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts from February 2013 to February 2015.

Before that, Diane held the position of Senior Events Adviser at the Office of the Queensland Premier from March 2012 to February 2013. Diane also worked as the Head of Programming for the Liberal National Party from June 2011 to March 2012, and as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition from July 2010 to May 2011.

Prior to their political roles, Diane served as an Integrated Communication Analyst at Origin Energy from June 2009 to July 2010. Diane also worked as a Senior Policy Adviser at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition from March 2008 to April 2009, and as a Media Adviser at the Queensland Department of Primary Industries from January 2008 to March 2008.

Diane's early career includes serving as a Media Adviser at the Office of the Federal Minister for Industry from January 2005 to November 2007. With their extensive experience, Diane Balke has developed strong skills in stakeholder relations, communications, community outreach, and policy advising.

Diane Balke attended the University of Southern Queensland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree.
