Shibsankar Sarkar is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in structural engineering. Currently serving as Lead Structural Engineer at QatarEnergy since October 2023, Shibsankar previously held the position of Senior Structural Engineer at ASTAD Engineering Consultancy from September 2019 to September 2023, where responsibilities included reviewing design and construction documents for various high-profile projects associated with Hamad Medical Corporation and the Doha Port Development Project. Prior roles encompass leadership positions at Kernel Engineering Consultants, Asie Etudes Engineering Consultancy LLC, Trishul Engineering Solutions, and WS Atkins & Partners Overseas, with substantial contributions to notable projects like the New Sultan Qaboos Hospital and Arcapita Bank Headquarters. Shibsankar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Bengal, completed in 1990.
