Abdelhamid M. Ahmed, Ph.D., serves as an Assistant Professor in Language Education (Applied Linguistics) at Qatar University since August 2014, where additional roles include Course Lead for Innovation, Leadership & Civic Engagement and First-Year Seminar, as well as Chair for Faculty Professional Development. Furthermore, Abdelhamid holds the position of Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Exeter since March 2018. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Professor in Professional Writing at Qatar University and a Pre-sessional English Teacher & Writing Support Specialist at the University of Birmingham. Abdelhamid completed a Ph.D. in Language Education (Applied Linguistics) and an MSc. in Educational Research, both at the University of Exeter.
