Abdelillah Talbioui has a diverse work experience spanning various risk management roles in the banking and finance industry. In their most recent position as Group Head of Market Risk and Treasury Middle Office at Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) since January 2018, they were responsible for market risk, liquidity risk, ALM risk, risk analytics, hedge valuations, and other related tasks. Abdelillah reported directly to the Chief Risk Officer and was a member of the ALCO.
Prior to this, Abdelillah worked as a Risk Manager at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) from April 2013 to August 2017. In this role, they conducted credit risk reviews and implemented the first rating exercise for the ICD (private sector subsidiary). Abdelillah also assessed private equity investment risks and reviewed trade finance transactions risks.
Before joining IsDB, Abdelillah served as a Risk Manager at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi from September 2010 to February 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Risk Analyst at CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône) in June 2010 and as a Freelance Risk Consultant in London from December 2007 to May 2010.
Abdelillah began their career as an Analyst at RBS from March 2007 to September 2007.
