Rodrigo Vera has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Rodrigo started their career in 1986 as a Manager at Tipitina's and then moved on to work as an Import Export Specialist at WESTHEM International Trade Company. From 1993 to 1995, they served as the International Traffic & Logistics Manager at Rupari Food Services, where they managed imports of frozen meat and seafood products. Rodrigo then worked as the International Sales Manager at OLYMPIA PRODUCTS LIMITED from 1995 to 1996.
In 1996, Rodrigo joined Q.E.P. Co., Inc. and held the position of Senior Vice President Of Global Sales until 2002. Following that, they joined SourceByNet as the Territory Sales Director - Americas from 2003 to 2014. During this time, in 2003, they also founded Southern Cross Building Products, a multimillion dollar international company specializing in building products.
In 2017, QEP Co., Inc. acquired certain assets of Southern Cross Building Products and Rodrigo was promoted to Senior Vice President, Specialty Markets and New Business Development. Recently, in May 2021, they became the President of Specialty Markets at QEP Co., Inc. Throughout their career, Rodrigo has demonstrated strong leadership and business development skills, contributing to the growth and success of the companies they have worked for.
Rodrigo Vera has a diverse education history with several degrees and certifications. Rodrigo obtained a Managerial Finance Certificate from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2018. Prior to that, they studied Strategic Management at Harvard Extension School from 2015 to 2017, focusing on Accounting, Finance, and International Marketing.
In the past, Rodrigo attended Loyola University New Orleans from 1985 to 1990, where they earned a degree in Communications with a concentration in Marketing and Communications. During this time, they also briefly attended Imperial College London in 1990, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree from there.
Rodrigo's education journey began at Tulane University from 1985 to 1987, where they participated in the US Navy ROTC program, focusing on Naval Engineering, Maritime Ships systems, and becoming a US Navy Midshipman.
