Evan Muzzall, PhD, is a Senior Consultant at Pyrovio, specializing in data governance and machine/deep learning for electric power transmission since September 2023. Previously, Muzzall served as the Head of Software and Services for Data Science at Stanford University's Green Library, responsible for scaling library data science workshops and consulting services, successfully upskilling over 2,000 patrons in two years. Muzzall also held various educational roles, including Instructional Services Lead at D-Lab, UC Berkeley, and Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley, where mentorship in data science was provided. Additional teaching experiences include positions as a Bioarchaeology Lecturer at San Francisco State University and SAT Tutor at REALM Charter High School. Muzzall earned a PhD in Anthropology from Southern Illinois University and has an extensive background in teaching and educational design across multiple institutions.
