Jan van Erp possesses extensive experience in nature management and environmental policy, currently serving as the Chair of the Foundation / Stichting Beekdallandschap Koningsdiep - De Nije Boarn and as Deputy Program Manager at Prolander, where efforts focus on establishing 11,000 hectares of nature reserves by 2027. Additionally, Jan leads the Nature Quality Committee of It Fryske Gea, advises on ecological strategies through OBN, and has a strong background in managing environmental projects across various provinces in the Netherlands. Education includes an Engineer's Degree in Land Management from Wageningen University & Research, complemented by a foundation in classical studies from Lodewijk Makeblijde College.
