Abhilasha Rana has worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years. Abhilasha began their career in 2010 as a Merchandiser for Meena Bazaar, where they were responsible for expanding the international franchise department and sourcing products from vendors across India. In 2013, they created their own label, Lihaaz, and showcased successful exhibitions in Delhi and Lucknow. From 2015 to 2020, they worked at AZA Fashions Pvt Ltd and IVY as a Senior Merchandiser/Buyer and Merchandising Manager, respectively. In these roles, they were responsible for planning and developing strategies for product ranges, design development and production, and overseeing merchandise and sales. Most recently, they have been working as the VP-Merchandising and AVP-Merchandising at Purple Style Labs (PSL).

Abhilasha Rana completed their Bachelor's degree in Fashion & Textile Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology between 2006 and 2009. Prior to that, they attended St Pauls Sr. Sec School, Nainital, where they completed their Highschool and Sr. Secondary studies in Mathematics and Science between 1990 and 2004.
