Josh Kling serves as the Director of Outdoor Pursuits and Assistant Director of Recreational Services at Fort Lewis College, where Outdoor Pursuits emphasizes environmental awareness and personal development through outdoor experiences. As an IFMGA Licensed Mountain Guide and AIARE course Leader with San Juan Expeditions, Josh is also the founder of Kling Mountain Guides. Additional roles include serving as the On Snow Curriculum and Instructor Development Advisor with Friends of the San Juans, authoring the Off Piste Ski Atlas with Beacon Guidebooks, and working as a Brand Ambassador for Backcountry Access, Inc. Josh’s experience further extends to ski patrol at Purgatory Resort, medical instruction with Wilderness Medical Associates International, and previous work as a mountain guide for the American Alpine Institute. Josh holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Fort Lewis College.
