Rick Anderson is the founder and CEO of Mom’s Meals. Founded as a family business in 1999 with a goal of preparing and delivering nutritious meals directly to private homes, Rick has served as CEO for 20 years.
As the company has grown, Rick’s focus has evolved from overseeing day-to-day operations to concentrating on long-term strategic planning, management efficiency, and special projects. While remaining family operated, Mom’s Meals has grown into an industry-leading, nationwide platform for home-delivered refrigerated meal programs.
Before founding Mom’s Meals, Rick owned and operated an engineering construction company in his home state of Iowa for 34 years. Completed projects he managed exceeded $1-billion dollars.
With a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University, Rick and his family are lifelong, proud Iowans.
His philanthropic outlets include funding for “Count the Kicks,” a nationwide organization focused on preventing unborn child distress and stillborn babies, and ongoing support for his church and other local charities.
Rick is a member of the Wake Forest University Advisory Board for the School of Entrepreneurship and a founder and financial contributor to the Harbour Island Trade School.
