Neil Renton has a long and varied work experience spanning over several industries. Neil started their career as an Assistant Manager at Record Bar in 1991 and later became a Store Manager at KayBee Toys. In 1995, they transitioned to the nonprofit sector as an Events Coordinator for the National MS Society. Following that, Neil worked as an Accounts Payable / Delivery Driver at Total Logistics Corporation and as a Transcriber at Dawson Geophysical. In 1999, they became a Journeyman Apprentice at Corey Sly Electric before moving on to Dawson Geophysical as an HSSE Office Manager. Neil then joined Titan PetroServices, LLC as a Safety Representative. In 2017, they became an HSE Coordinator at AFD Petroleum Ltd. Neil's most recent role is with Purestream Services, where they have served as an HSE Manager since 2019 and is currently the VP of Safety.

Neil Renton's education history begins in 2002 when they attended Odessa College and earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Occupational Safety and Health Technology. Neil then continued their education at Midland College from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Technology degree in Organizational Management.

In 2020, Neil Renton enrolled at Columbia Southern University and pursued a degree in Occupational Safety and Health - Environmental Management. Neil completed their studies in 2022 and obtained a Master's degree in Occupational Safety and Health Environmental Management from the same institution.

Throughout their educational journey, Neil Renton also acquired various certifications. In 2015, they became an Occupational Safety and Health Professional through the OSHAcademy Safety and Health Training program. In 2019, they obtained the OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications from Summit Training Source - A Member of the HSI Family of Brands. Furthermore, in 2022, they achieved the GSP (Graduate Safety Practitioner) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
