Bruce is a Co-Founder at Playground Global, LLC and serves as Managing Director of Playground Ventures, L.P. In more than three decades of tech industry experience, Bruce has made his mark as an engineer, entrepreneur, and investor. He is best known for his groundbreaking work in multimedia, as creator of QuickTime and co-founder of WebTV. As Chief Operating Officer at WebTV, Bruce was instrumental in the development and deployment of the world’s first consumer Internet appliance and service and was responsible for the growth and management of the business in excess of one million customers and $300 million in revenue. Prior to WebTV, Mr. Leak served senior management and engineering roles at Rocket Science Games and General Magic Inc. He began his career at Apple Computer, where he invented and brought to market QuickTime and 32-bit QuickDraw. He holds several technology patents. As an Angel investor, Mr. Leak has had five public exits from seed investments including: Danger (Microsoft), Android (Google), and Nest (Google). Mr. Leak is a graduate of Stanford University with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in electrical engineering.
