Jiri Balek serves as the Global Data Privacy Counsel at Publicis Groupe since December 2022, focusing on data protection compliance for national and international projects. With expertise in new technologies and information security, Jiri is an expert within the European Data Protection Board's Support Pool. Additionally, Jiri has been a Scientific Researcher at the University of New York in Prague since June 2021 and previously held the position of Data Privacy Manager at Novartis for CEE countries. Jiri's earlier experience includes roles as Group Legal Counsel at Seznam.cz, a Legal Associate at Deloitte Legal, and internships at the Czech Ministry of Justice. Jiri holds a Ph.D. in Business Law from Charles University, with additional qualifications from WU Vienna, Palacký University, and the British Law Centre.
