Christopher Ruth, APR has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Christopher is currently serving as the Senior Director of Public Relations at Buckner International since July 2018. Prior to this, they held the position of Public Relations Director at Love Advertising from December 2017 to June 2018. Christopher also worked as a Senior Manager at Caliber Corporate Advisers from August 2017 to December 2017 and at Leverage PR, a Caliber Corporate Advisers Company from September 2016 to August 2017. Christopher has also contributed to the FinTech Professionals Association as a Board Member from October 2016 to December 2017. Christopher started their own venture, Ruth Marketing, PR, & Consulting in 2013, where they served as the Owner until August 2016. Before that, they gained valuable experience as a Public Relations Director at F.A. Marketing from April 2008 to August 2016. Christopher started their career as a Construction Supervisor (AmeriCorps) at Habitat for Humanity Greater Birmingham from August 2006 to July 2007. Christopher also worked as a Teaching Assistant / Graduate Assistant at York University from September 2004 to July 2006. In addition to their current roles, Christopher is scheduled to take on the position of President Elect at the Public Relations Society of America, Dallas in 2024.

Christopher Ruth, APR has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Christopher also pursued a Masters (incomplete) in Playwriting and Screenwriting at York University from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Christopher has obtained certifications such as an Advanced Crisis Communication Certificate Program and Accreditation in Public Relations (PR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in 2022.
