Julianne Flesner is currently serving as a Disease Intervention Specialist at Public Health Madison and Dane County since March 2023. Previously, Flesner worked for the San Francisco Department of Public Health as a Disease Control Investigator from April 2013 to March 2022, where responsibilities included conducting interviews and investigations related to communicable diseases, educating the public about disease control, and maintaining meticulous records of investigations. Flesner's experience also includes roles as a Clinical Research Associate and HIV/STD Counselor, an Assistant Director for Grassroots Campaigns, and a Health Advocacy/EMT Training Coordinator at Central AHEC Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in International Peace Studies from Universidad para la Paz.
