Santosh is Co-founder of Visgenx, Inc. a startup developing treatments for age-related macular degeneration which is the leading cause of vision loss worldwide and affects over 196 million individuals worldwide. Throughout his career, he has pursued a passion for developing drugs for addressing unmet medical needs in diverse areas ranging from cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, hemophilia, sickle cell disease and pediatric epilepsy. He has previously served as Chief Medical Officer for multiple public companies. In the area of community service, Santosh has provided pro bono clinical care at an indigent medical clinic and has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He received his PhD from the Virginia Commonwealth University, his MD from the University of Maryland and his MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
