Rebecca Vogel is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in criminal defense and public interest law. Currently serving as a Law Librarian at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia since February 2023, Rebecca previously operated a private practice as a Criminal Defense Attorney from June 2018 to February 2023, advocating for indigent defendants in D.C. Rebecca's career includes roles as Of Counsel at London & Mead, a Public Interest Fellow at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, and a Law Clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Additional experiences include positions as a Summer Associate at Altshuler Berzon and a Lombard Fellow for Community Assessment at California Rural Legal Assistance, among internships with Action Canada for Population and Development and the National Park Service. Rebecca holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Stanford Law School (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Dartmouth College (2011).
