In February 2009, the Energi Business Unit developed into a subsidiary by the name of PT Surya Energi Indotama (PT SEI) with PT Len Industri as major shareholder by 90% and PT Eltran Indonesia by 10%. After quite a while focusing on solar power, SEI strive to develop ability with utilizing a variety of other renewable energy sources including wind, water, biomass, and geothermal.

Endorsed by more than 50 experties, SEI has dealt with hundreds of renewable energy projects from both government and private agencies which spread all over Indonesia, including the outer, the farthest, and isolated islands.
