Pierre-Étienne Bergeron

Pierre-Étienne Bergeron has a diverse work experience spanning a variety of roles in the financial industry. Pierre-Étienne is currently serving as the Managing Director & Head of Public and Transversal Risk at Investissements PSP since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Vice-President, Capital Markets Risk at Investissements PSP from February 2020 to July 2021.

Before joining Investissements PSP, Pierre-Étienne held the position of Directeur Executif at KPMG Canada from October 2018 to February 2020. Prior to KPMG, they worked at Banque Laurentienne, where they served as the Senior Vice-President, Integrated Risk Management from April 2016 to June 2018, and as the VP, Integrated Risk Management from April 2012 to April 2016.

Pierre-Étienne also gained valuable experience at PSP Investments, where they worked as the Director, Valuations & Market Risk from September 2009 to April 2012, and as the Director, Middle Office from August 2007 to September 2009. Before that, they served as the Director, Treasury Risk Management at BDC from September 2004 to August 2007, and as the Portfolio Manager, Treasury from March 2001 to September 2004.

Pierre-Étienne began their career at National Bank of Canada as a Back Office, derivatives employee from June 1998 to September 1999. Prior to this, they worked at Financière Courvie as a Back Office, client accounts employee from January 1998 to June 1998.

Pierre-Étienne Bergeron began their education in 1993 at Université Laval, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BAA) degree in Finance. Pierre-Étienne successfully completed this program in 1997. Following their undergraduate studies, Bergeron continued their education at Université de Sherbrooke from 1999 to 2001. During this time, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Finance.
