Finlay Munro started their work experience in 2012 as an intern at IODS Pipe Clad Ltd, where they gained experience in basic double entry bookkeeping and management accounts. In 2014, they interned at Campbell Dallas LLP, shadowing a Chartered Accountant and working on tasks such as bank reconciliations and bookkeeping. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Group Leader at The Timber Lake Family of Camps, where they supervised and coordinated activities for a group of 15-year-olds, teaching them life skills and promoting personal growth. In 2017, they joined AH & Co Limited, Chartered Accountants as a Trainee Chartered Accountant, and later became an Accounts & Audit Supervisor. In 2020, they worked as a Client Service Analyst at Clearwater Analytics. In 2018, they founded the Annual Rabbie Burns Ball. Currently, they are working as an Analyst, Finance (Europe) at PSP Investments, starting in 2022.
Finlay Munro attended St. Aloysius' College from 2006 to 2013, where they completed their high school education. Following this, they enrolled at Heriot-Watt University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance, which they completed from 2013 to 2017. Later, from 2017 to 2020, Finlay Munro attended ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs to obtain the degree of Chartered Accountant.
