Sjoerd Schimmel is an experienced ecologist with a diverse background in ecology, biodiversity, and nature-based tourism. Currently serving as Regisseur en Adviseur Ecologie at Provincie Utrecht since May 2024, Sjoerd has held various roles, including Adviseur en onderzoeker Ecologie at TAUW Group and projectleider Ecologie at Geofoxx, focusing on integrating nature in development projects. Sjoerd's experience also includes leading nature and bird trips at SNP Natuurreizen and conducting ecological research on protected species. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Systems and Conservation Ecology and a Bachelor's degree in Human and Animal Health from Wageningen University & Research.
