Marissa Ooms is a policy advisor at Provincie Noord-Holland since November 2021. Previously, Marissa served as a PhD candidate at Tilburg University from September 2016 to April 2022, focusing on a thesis entitled "The (In)formal Legalities of International Natural Resources Law: Mapping the Interplay between Law, Power, and Politics in the Governance of Natural Resources." Prior to that, Marissa worked as a paralegal at Arnold & Siedsma from August 2012 to August 2016. Marissa holds a Research Master's in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam (2013-2016), an Erasmus exchange degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Freie Universität Berlin (2014-2015), and a Bachelor of Laws from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2009-2013).
