Jan-Jaap van den Berg is a strategist at Provincie Noord-Holland since January 2010 and serves as a football historian for de Roodbroek, which preserves the legacy of the legendary football club HFC Haarlem. With a background in local governance, Jan-Jaap was the secretary of the PvdA's Centrum voor Lokaal Bestuur from January 2003 to December 2009. Prior experience includes roles as a senior researcher and project leader at adviesbureau B&A Groep in The Hague from 1999 to 2003, and as an editor for Sdu Uitgevers from 1997 to 1999. Jan-Jaap holds a doctorate in political history and a master’s degree in political science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where education was completed between 1987 and 1999.
