Astrid Smit has extensive experience in environmental management and soil remediation, currently serving as Project Leader for Aftercare Soil Management at Provincie Noord-Holland since January 2001. Responsibilities include coordinating aftercare for Wbb sites and waste management locations, alongside policy development. Previous roles include ISV-Coordinator/Senior Policy Advisor for Permits, and Soil Remediation Permit Issuer at the same organization. Prior to this, Astrid worked as Project Leader for Soil at Gemeente Hillegom and as an Advisor at Grontmij, managing various environmental projects and assessments. Astrid holds a doctoral degree in Physical Geography from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from Hogeschool Holland.
