Pieter Wiekeraad is an experienced professional, currently serving as the Director of Executing Services at Provincie Groningen since November 2013, where responsibilities include leading the Environment and Sustainability department and overseeing multiple programs related to environmental management and energy. Pieter has held various significant roles, including membership in the Standing Technical Committee on Engineering and Environment for the World Federation of Engineering Organizations and serving on the Executive Committee and as Treasurer for the International Federation of Municipal Engineering. Additional roles encompass training for municipal service delivery at The Hague Academy for Local Governance and consultancy work for VNG International on urban development. Pieter's earlier career includes project management and leadership positions across several municipalities. Education includes degrees in law and policy science from Utrecht University, complemented by various specialized training programs.
