Alcibiade Athanasiou has a comprehensive work experience in the scientific and research field. alcibiade started their career in 2007 at ETH Zurich, where they completed an internship. Later, they joined Actelion in 2007 as a Laboratory Technician and was promoted to Senior Laboratory Technician in 2009. During their time at Actelion, they also worked as a Research Associate from 2009 to 2012. In 2012, Alcibiade joined Proteomedix AG as a Research Associate and gradually progressed to the role of Senior Research Associate and then Laboratory Manager. alcibiade served as the Laboratory Manager at Proteomedix AG from September 2018 to the present.

Alcibiade Athanasiou completed a CAS program in Data Analysis at ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences in 2021. Prior to this, they obtained an Engineer's degree in Biochemistry from the same institution, completing their studies between 2001 and 2005.
