Senior Product Manager at Prospection

Tref Gare has an extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting as an actor in 1983, they later worked as an Aid Worker in Albania and Kosovo in 1999. Tref then became the Artistic Director of Eclectic Pelican, a physical theater company, where they produced original works and toured internationally until 1999. Tref worked as a freelancer actor until 1999.

In 2000, Tref transitioned to IT and began their career as a Web Developer at Wijojo, focusing on building websites and business applications. Tref then joined Areeba as a Development Consultant, where they developed web-based applications and intranets using ASP.net and Java.

Moving forward, Tref joined BidContender as a Senior UX Designer in 2011, before transitioning to Aconex, where they held multiple roles. At Aconex, Tref started as a Senior Interaction Designer, focusing on improving usability and eventually drove a major redesign project in 2009. Tref later became a Product Owner/Manager, UX Designer, and Business Analyst, working with a team split between Melbourne and Bangalore.

In 2018, Aconex was acquired by Oracle, and Tref took on the role of Product Manager and later became the Director of Performance and Stability. In these roles, they coordinated and enhanced various streams and teams to improve the performance and stability of Oracle Construction and Engineering products.

Most recently, Tref joined Prospection in 2021 as a Senior Product Manager, where they are exploring the fascinating realm of health sciences data analytics and working on improving patient outcomes.

Throughout their career, Tref has demonstrated a passion for learning new domains, enhancing usability, driving innovation, and collaborating with teams to achieve organizational goals.

Tref Gare's education history begins in 1989 when they obtained a certificate in Physical Theatre Performance from the Desmond Jones School of Mime and Physical Theatre. In the following year, they attended the Ecole Monika Pagneux and earned another certificate in Physical Theatre Performance. In 1991, Tref attended La Scuola Internazionale Dell'Attore Comico for Physical Theatre Performance.

Moving on to academic education, in 1996 Tref started attending La Trobe University with a major in Comparative Religion and French, but did not complete their Bachelor of Arts degree. From 1999 to 2000, Tref studied Programming Technologies at the Interim Technology Institute and completed a Cert IV degree.

In 2005, Tref enrolled at The Open University for a course in Human Computer Interaction, which they completed in 2006. Finally, in 2015, Tref attended General Assembly to study Product Management.

Tref Gare also holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Master, although specific details about this certification are not provided.
