Lucía Cespón Torrado has a diverse work experience in the scientific field. Lucía started their career in 2003 as a Laboratory Assistant at Cellzome. Lucía then moved on to work as a Research Scientist at Heidelberg University Biochemistry Center from 2004 to 2005, before taking on the role of a Researcher PHD Student at the same institution from 2005 to 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Heidelberg University. Lucía then joined Life Technologies in 2011 as an Inside Sales Account Representative for Spain. In 2012, they joined Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Technical Application Scientist, where they worked until 2019. Most recently, they have been employed as an Inside Sales Account Manager at PromoCell - Human Centered Science, focusing on the French, UK, and German markets.

Lucía Cespón Torrado began their education at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela in 1997, where they pursued a Licenciatura en Biología (degree in Biology). Lucía completed their undergraduate studies in 2002.

Following their undergraduate degree, Lucía enrolled at Heidelberg University in 2002 to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, which they completed in 2004.
