Hon. Djinsad Desir has been serving as a Justice in the Town of Ramapo, County of Rockland, since December 2013, presiding over misdemeanor prosecutions, arraignments, and preliminary hearings in felony cases. Previously, Djinsad held the position of Principal Law Clerk to Hon. Larry J, where complex legal issues were researched and analyzed. Additional experience includes serving as Justice for the Village of Spring Valley, Associate at Vernon & Ginsburg, LLP specializing in commercial and real estate litigation, and Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County. Djinsad started legal career as a Post-Graduate Fellow at Brooklyn Legal Services, assisting homeowners with foreclosure actions, following positions as a Law Clerk at Eric N. Cohen & Associates and Finance Analyst at Unilever. Education includes a J.D. from Cardozo School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business.
