Chessa Latifi is Project HOPE’s Senior Program Advisor for Humanitarian Response and the Latin America/Caribbean Region. As part of Global Health team, she supports Mexico and Haiti health, mental health, and gender-based violence programs, as well as Emergency Response operations.
Chessa completed her graduate degree at George Mason’s School of Public Policy, and obtained her undergraduate degree in Social Justice at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has 13 years’ experience in the humanitarian field, including deployments in response to the conflict in Iraq, the 2010 Haitian earthquake, the Syrian refugee crisis, and domestic natural disasters. She’s also supported the numerous international emergency responses across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas.
