Mel Carney is an experienced professional with a substantial background in sales and account management. Currently serving as a Distribution Profit Specialist at Professional Data Systems, Inc. since January 1998, Mel specializes in ProTrac, a comprehensive distribution software program designed for wholesalers. Prior to this role, Mel worked as an Account Manager at Data General Systems from 1981 to 1987, focusing on selling DG equipment to resellers in the Midwest. Mel's career began at NCR Corporation as a Senior Account Manager for Retail Systems from August 1969 to February 1976 and included a sales representative position at Six Flags Over Mid America from 1976 to 1980, promoting group sales to large companies and associations. Mel holds a Master's degree in Marketing and Design from Webster University and a BA in English and Drama from St. Ambrose University.
