Asitha Perera has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Asitha started their career at Epic Lanka Group in 2011, where they served as a Software Engineer until September 2014. Asitha then took on the role of Senior Software Engineer at the same company, which lasted until November 2022. In 2019, they joined Prodoscore as the Head of Engineering, a position they currently hold.

Asitha Perera completed their education history with three significant institutions. They began their academic journey at Maris Stella College Negombo, where they attended from 1992 to 2005. It is worth noting that no degree or field of study was specified during this period.

Following their time at Maris Stella College, Asitha Perera enrolled in the University of Colombo School of Computing. From 2007 to 2010, they pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science degree, specializing in Computer Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, they furthered their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Computer Science degree in Computer Science from 2011 to 2013.
