Merwyn Wijaya has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Merwyn currently serves as the Head of Product Operations - Discovery at Prodigy Finance, a position they started in February 2022. Prior to this, Merwyn worked at Gojek from 2018 to 2022, where they held multiple roles including Research Lead for Consumer Platforms & Loyalty, Partnership and Growth, Research Lead for Financial Services, and Interim Branding & Marketing Lead for Financial Services.

Before joining Gojek, Merwyn worked at Excellerate Labs as a Strategic Designer & Researcher from 2017 to 2018. Here, they led and managed the design team responsible for designing the digital experiences of two fintech ventures and various Sinar Mas Group businesses. Merwyn also conducted qualitative research and data analysis to gain insights into user behavior and needs across multiple industries, leading to the successful launch of kelolaapp.com and kawancicil.co.

Merwyn co-founded Heyo Connect in 2016, where they served as the Product Design Co-Founder. Merwyn also gained experience as a Freelance Brand & UX Designer at mervv from 2015 to 2016 and as a Designer & Associate Consultant at Clear - M&C Saatchi from 2013 to 2015. Merwyn began their career as a Junior Art Director at Flask Medialab in 2012 and freelance Graphic Designer at mervv from 2009 to 2012.

Merwyn Wijaya has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) degree in Product Design from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. Prior to that, they completed their GCE 'A' Level education at Raffles Institution, specializing in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Economics. In addition to their formal education, Merwyn has obtained several certifications, including a Senior User Experience (UX) Design Strategist certification from Udemy in November 2015, a Masterclass in Service Design: Consumer Journey certification from the National Design Centre in Singapore in May 2015, and a Design Thinking Action Lab certification from Stanford's NovoEd platform in September 2013.
